As with any equipment or machinery, regular maintenance of your system is crucial to its efficiency and longevity.
However, while there are many solar energy system installers out there, we are the only company in the western Sydney area to offer a full, personally-tailored maintenance service.
Why do you need to maintain your system?
Many existing systems, particularly those installed during the early ‘rebate days’, were installed using inferior, poorly-manufactured inverters, making them less durable and more likely to fail over time. This will make your solar system far less effective that it was designed to be – and give you higher power bills! By having your system regularly maintained, you’ll be able to keep on top of any wear and tear and keep your system operating at its peak.
While we offer a maintenance program for existing solar systems, we can also service new systems.
Once we install your solar panels, we recommend attending your home every 2-3 years to carry out regular servicing of your inverter, panels and connections. Because we use superior products of the highest quality, they are backed by the manufacturers who offer warranties in the rare event of a system failure, so you can be assured that your system will be up and running with minimal disruption and down-time.
There’s no need for you to remember when it’s time for your solar maintenance to be done, we’ll give you a friendly reminder.
Recent Maintenance Story
I was recently called to conduct a clean and inspection of a Solar System at residence in Werrington recently and found the following issues with a Solar Panel. It showed severe signs of internal shorting and there was another panel where I found the holding clamp had not been installed correctly and was not holding the panel to the roof.
It was installed just over 5-years ago and although the warranty period had ended I managed to steer them through the right Consumer warranty process and they will be having a replacement panel installed shortly.
I re-affixed the clamp and checked the rest of the array to ensure the security of the system.
